Tim Curry, the versatile actor best known for playing Dr Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Show, has died at age 80 at his Los Angeles home. Born in 1946, he had a successful career spanning stage, film and TV, with iconic roles requiring dramatic physical transformations including Pennywise in Stephen King's It and the Lord of Darkness in Legend. After suffering a stroke in 2012 that affected his mobility and memory, Curry continued working and recently released his memoir Vagabond. Co-stars including Susan Sarandon and Carol Burnett paid tribute to the beloved performer.
